Antivirus is very important for us as well for our computers.  It makes us both safe…  If you have the old VPS then it will automatically be updated.  If not you can download it anytime because its free for non commercial use.  Yes!  it is now available for downloading..

Yes you can check the availaibility of database anytime. It would be better if you change the settings to autoupdate. The avast will automatically detect updates and download it.

Update Your Anti-virus Software With Avast

When you install an antivirus or an internet security on your computer, you should always update it right after you install it because the virus signature database that ships with it originally is outdated most of the time several months old. If you don’t update it, your computer will be very vulnerable to virus infection and various threats.

Most of the time, when the computer is finished installing the antivirus, the antivirus will automatically update itself. Just allow it to finish the update so the existing virus signature database will be replaced with a new one.
