How to create back up file of yahoo messenger?

Hi, there!

Yahoo is top and largest social community network  all over the world. So, most people are using Yahoo Messenger.

New version of Yahoo Messenger cannot create back up file on hard disk. That means I cannot save executed file of Yahoo Messenger.

When I downloaded  it from server,  it cannot be saved to my hard drive. It is automatically installing while downloading.

I want to save that  exe file.

Please provide me with helpful suggestions.

Your archives are encrypted and stored as DAT file in c: Program filesYahooMessengerProfileUsernameAchieveMessenger It is best solution for you to back up the Profiles directory where you keep your Avatars and etc.

Your computer registry stores majority of your settings and there is no effective way of backing up this book. Yahoo Messenger friends' list is stored online. If you have concerns, you can use the addresses via your address book

  • Log into Yahoo!
  • Select import /Export
  • Scroll down to Export
  • Select Microsoft Outlook, Netscape or Thunderbird.

You can also get Yahoo CVS or vCard Zip of VCFfiles.

What I usually do is Google (or Bing or Yahoo!) for the phrase "yahoo messenger offline".  Usually, you will find sites that post direct download links to the executables.  As with downloading anything from the net, always be sure that you have ample protection from viruses and malware by always updating the virus definitions.

Here's a download link for Yahoo Messenger 11.  Which I believe is the latest release.

Other alternatives:

  1. Monitoring the temporary files folder of your PC for any new files during download of Yahoo Messenger.  The idea is that Yahoo Messenger's installer downloads and saves the installer somewhere on your hard drive.  The saved installer then either gets deleted after installation or is left where it is until the temporary folder is cleared.
  2. Monitor HTTP traffic to find out where Yahoo Messenger connects to download the installer.  The idea is to find out the address of the server where the installer is being downloaded from.  If you have the URL, you can then browse it directly with your internet browser.

Here are the facts about the discontinuation of Yahoo Messenger. After July 17, 2018, Yahoo Messenger will no longer be supported. After this date the service will no longer work and you will no longer be able to access your chats. You won’t be able to log in to Yahoo Messenger. According to Yahoo, there is currently no replacement product for Yahoo Messenger.

You can still be able to download your chat history to your computer until the end of November 2018. To download your chat history, go to Yahoo Messenger Download Manager. Here, you need to log in to your account again to verify. Once verification is successful, under “Yahoo Messenger data”, click “Download”.

Next, enter the email address where you want the notification to be sent when the download is ready then click “OK”. After this, just wait for the download on your email address.
