Windows Cannot Find URL or Path to File Error on Firefox

On some Windows systems, Firefox is running. When you launch it by opening an Internet shortcut, a local HTML file, or a link in another application, two instances of Firefox may be open; or Firefox opens along with an error dialogue. Windows cannot find "<URL or path to file>".

Hi Shihab!

Your message error is correct. I suggest you make sure if you type the name of the file orrectly. This sometimes causes an error in your computer.So you have to be sure of that. Then try it again.

If the error happens again, you have to uninstall the file. Then after that, install it again. Be sure that it's  compatible with your system. Then recheck it again before you run the application in your system. You may try to contact your administrative for further assistance in your application.

Windows Cannot Find URL or Path to File Error on Firefox

Whenever you launch an HTML file by double-clicking, an internet browser opens. Now, if you have multiple internet browsers installed on your computer, you might be guessing which of these will open automatically every time an internet session is requested.

When Windows received a request for an internet address to be opened, if there are multiple internet browsers installed, it will determine which of these is set as the default web browser and then open that address with the default browser. Each time you install a web browser, it will always ask you if you want to make that browser as your default internet browser. That’s when Windows sets the default web browser.

There is also an option in every web browser for checking if it’s the current default web browser.

If the web browser cannot find the path or a <URL or path to file>error has encountered after opening an HTML file, it only means that the web address contained in the HTML file is already inaccessible.
