I have installed a router gateway and connected all of my office computers to it. I want to know subnet. How can I do the calculation of subnet mask in IPv4 for this network?

Method Of Calculation Of Subnet Mask Of My Network

You need some information about the network to calculate the default subnet mask.

A subnet is built by allocating some of the bits from IPv4 address allocated to your to some specific computers which form a group. Hence you need to know the IPv4 address of the first computer in your network. You are also required to know the number of computers in your current network.

Follow the figure given above to determine the subnet mask.

Once you know both of them the subnet mask is the difference of both of the IPv4 in binary.
