Opening Outlook in safe mode loads it without customization files as well as add-ins. The following methods can be used for opening Outlook in safe mode:
- Press and Hold Ctrl key as you click on Outlook icon.
- In Vista or 7, type outlook.exe/safe in Search field on the Start menu and press Enter.
- Windows 8 users can type outlook.exe/safe on the Start screen.
- You can try using run and type outlook.exe/safe. Then you can press OK.
- Similarly, press R while holding Windows key and type outlook.exe/safe in the field and click Ok.
- You can even go to the default location of Microsoft Outlook and Quick Launch it.
