Microsoft Security Essentials scanning problems

Hello guys,

I want to scan my computer for viruses and Malware.

However, when I started running Microsoft Security Essentials, an error message showed up.

I already reinstalled the product, but the error still appears. Can you guys advice me with this problem?

Microsoft Security Essentials scanning problems

 

Microsoft security essential is not able to scan your computer. Do you have a latest version of the software? Or that if you do not have that then update it. The Windows O S that you are using must meet the system requirements of the software called Microsoft security essentials. The problem might also have occurred due to access right problem. Means that you may not have access to  a particular directory or the files which you are scanning. Further that the antivirus which are bootable may scan your entire hard disk for infected files. The best way is to repair or update the OS and software.

Microsoft Security Essentials scanning problems

Dear Robert,
Before scanning for viruses , you have to update it, Go to (click) the update  menu in the main menu of microsoft security essentials.

Then click the update button in update menu . It may take few minutes.
If the update is installed, It shows the created date of last definition Then you can scan for virus.
