My printer only prints black?

I cannot print any color from my HP 500 series. I have changed a new cartridge for colored ones, what is wrong with my printer? Did the installer of the shop that i went through has created the problem? What will be my next step? I need it for my report.

Hi Dear,

Follow the instruction to solve this problem.

1. Check that your color cartridge is not empty or blocked.
2. Then look “print only Black and White” option.
3. Enable gray scale Printing.
4. Use only “Enable color as gray scale” option.
5. Then use simplified colors.

Then it will be solve.

Also you should check all cartridge connection and it’s availability.

Hi Jake5856, here your problem is a bit tricky but it can be solved since it is a post of solving solutions. The first thing you need to ensure is that you install the cartridge properly and ensure the ink jets out from the outlet when printing. An illustration is as follows;

Once the cartridge is properly fixed, ensure it has enough ink and the ink does not mix with other cartridges. The best way to ensure this is by printing a sample paper or running the 'Clean the print cartridges' in the 'printer driver properties' menu. You will also need to select the option of printing with other colors on the printer window as shown;

This is selected in the control panel. Once you select the settings of printing, you can select the actual color and try printing out a sample, if this doesn't work, you may need to consult a Hp assistant near you or you local dealer. Thanks
