Adobe Acrobat was installed as part of a suite Error

Whenever, I tried to open Acrobat Pro 9.1.0, this error message would occur and says: Adobe Acrobat was installed as part of a suite. To enable Adobe Acrobat, please start another component of this suite (such as Adobe Photoshop). I clicked the OK button but the Acrobat closes down.

I already activated the program and I don’t have any idea what’s causing this.
This occurrence is so sudden and it didn’t happen before the recent download and installation of the Acrobat 9.10 update. I also restarted my pc which required for the completion of the update.

How do I fix this problem?

Uninstall your entire adobe product. Now install adobe acrobat pro and Photoshop premier for x 64. Run adobe acrobat pro, you will get the error message. Now run Photoshop.

It will activate adobe acrobat pro. You will not get the error from now. To fix the error problem another way, first of all open In-Design. Create a page. Convert it into PDF. Now open the PDF. You will not get the error message now.

Hi,

Is this the error your getting?

Fix it with the following steps:

  1. Start your Photoshop, go to Help tab then deactivate.
  2. Close Photoshop.
  3. Then go to C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAdobeAdobe PCDCache
  4.  Rename the cache.db as a cache.dbold.
  5. Open the Photoshop again.
  6. Put the Upgraded serial for CS5
  7. From there, enter the serial for CS4.
  8. Open your Adobe Acrobat.
  9. Enter the serial for Acrobat Professional.
  10. You can skip the registration.
  11. Close both the Photoshop and Acrobat.
  12. Now, open the acrobat.

 

Its long but I know it will fix the problem. Good luck!

It seems this problem is very popular among Adobe users and keeps popping on any Adobe products like Adobe Creative Suite 4 and Adobe Creative Suite 5 when you installed Acrobat. And the thing is Adobe didn’t give an actual solution on this. Only users were able to fix it by themselves by doing and experimenting on stuffs that came with the program.

To fix the problem, try this method. Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware. Use the supplied password to unpack. Run the installer to install Revo Uninstaller. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller and uninstall all Adobe products from the panel. Follow the instructions to uninstall the program completely. If you currently have the entire Adobe Creative Suite package installed on your computer, uninstall all programs that came with it.

No Adobe products should be left installed. Once the entire Creative Suite package has been removed, open your web browser and go to CCleaner Free then download and install CCleaner. Once installed, start CCleaner and clean your system. Next, install Photoshop and Acrobat first including any prerequisite components. Once both programs are installed, start Acrobat. You should see the same error on your screen after this.

Next, close the dialog and start Photoshop and activate it. After Photoshop is activated, start Acrobat again. This time the error should not appear. Once you verify that the problem is fixed, install the rest of the Creative Suite package. To register CCleaner, download CCleaner Registration Codes. Use the supplied password to unpack. Open “license-keys_readme.txt” with Notepad and follow the instructions to register CCleaner.
