OBIEE 10.13.4.1 on Unibox Multiple Errors

Hi everyone! I have a problem with OBIEE 10.13.4.1 on Unix box. When I open BI publisher link from OBIEE presentation services I get the error below:

***Reporting Login: java.net.ConnectException: A remote host refused an attempted connect operation.***

Also, every time I insert BI publisher report Object in a dashboard page, I could not go through available BI publisher folders and reports. However, if I enter the Url for BI publisher in a browser I was able to connect to presentation services and build reports, templates using OBIEE metadata. Everything went fine if I go directly to BI publisher, from dashboards link in BI publisher console to the navigation to OBIEE dashboards. Now, the problem arises when I try to connect to publisher from OBIEE dashboards, that’s when I receive the error message shown above. Can you give me any suggestions on how to fix this? Also, I want to know what’s causing this problem to happen. I’ll be waiting with your response. Thank you!

There are few possibilities that are causing the error. Solving them might solve the issue as well since they are inter related with each other.

  1. First see that server or the host to which you are connecting is in working condition and is not down.
  2. After that, check the ports which you are using to connect are not blocked either on application layer or at the firewall of the windows.
  3. Also see if there is any administrative privileges that you need to connect to the host that is causing the connection to refuse the acceptance of the new connection from your end.
