Generic host error while turning on the desktop

Hi,

I'm Sharif. I've a desktop & I'm using Windows XP on it. So far it was good but in recent times I'm troubled by an unwanted error message. That is "Windows generic host message".." Windows need to shutdown to resolve the error"… It often shows immediately after turning on the computer.

What is the problem & what can I do to get rid of this?

Generic host error while turning on the desktop

Greetings,

This error occurs if you Windows are not generic. This means that the windows copy you have installed is not the original one. You need to uninstall the Windows XP and reinstall the Windows XP. It will be better if you install the Original copy of the Windows XP. Otherwise again after sometime it will shows this error message. IF you don't want to install the original copy then keep formatting your Windows XP at a period of time i. e. after every 6 months. This will always keep you computer updated and free of the entire error message as well as free from viruses.

If that error message always appears every time you start your computer, maybe there is a problem in your operating system. Make sure that Windows is properly installed on your computer and you did not receive any errors on the screen while installing it. Try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton SystemWorks or Norton Utilities. If no error was found on the file system of your hard drive, try updating your antivirus then run a full system scan on your machine. Be sure to include the System Volume Information folder in your scan. This folder is located in the root in all of your drives. To make this folder visible, go to the Folder Options of the Windows Explorer then View tab. Under Hidden files and folders, select Show hidden files and folders and then uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) then hit OK. Trojans usually hide on this folder.

If your system turns out to be negative for viruses, it is possible that the version of Windows XP you are using is not genuine.
