Having trouble in Linux Samsung file transfer

I really need your help about transferring files to Ubuntu Linux using my Samsung Galaxy Tab. Each time I connect my Tab to my PC, I think it is loaded properly but I wonder why I am experiencing errors during transferring. I cannot transfer files like videos and music. Can you help in Linux Samsung file transfer? Please give me an idea on how to do it. Thanks..

Having trouble in Linux Samsung file transfer

Dear user,

You can follow these steps for your help:

Run “FTP Server” Android app, on your Samsung Galaxy Tab. Now from your Filezilla on Ubuntu, you have to write the code or what it tells on ftp-app and then the user id and password that it provides.

Having trouble in Linux Samsung file transfer

Hello Jiim,

There are two methods to transfer file to Ubuntu from Samsung Galaxy Tab. FTP and MTP, FTP is wireless based server and MTP works with cable. FTP method is much slower than MTP method. So you need to install MTP tools to transfer file purpose from Galaxy tab to Ubuntu.
