Excel cannot connect to the SharePoint list

Hi to all readers in techyv,

I have an application issue here, that I have not been able to solved while working with in WSS2.0.

When I tried to use the export function and link to Excel or somewhat export to Excel spreadsheet and when it opened in Microsoft Excel I received an error message "Excel cannot connect to the SharePoint list."

Excel cannot connect to the SharePoint list.

OK

Whenever I save and open the IQY file  it will create but it won't synchronize.

Please share some ideas on this issue that I posted.

Excel cannot connect to the SharePoint list

 Hi Raygets,

        You can easily resolve this issue by following method.

  • First you have to open the Internet Explorer.
  • Then go to the Tools option.
  • Then click on the Internet option and go to Advanced Settings.
  • Scroll down the window and go to the Security option.
  • You can see CheckforServerCertificateRevocation as checked mark and you need to uncheck it.
  • And click on the Apply and then OK.
  • Then you need to close all Internet Explorer pages and open your SharePoint site in new Internet Explorer or Browser.

Hopefully you would be able to connect Excel to the SharePoint.

Before you uninstall please deselect ASAP Utilities as add-in Excel first.
