Good Day. On Windows XP, when you forget the password, there are 3 ways to retrieve it. 

First: This is only applicable if you did set a hint beforehand:

• On the log-in screen, click on the question mark next to the arrow button. Then there will be a hint given to you. You must think relevant answers to the hint provided. If correctly answered, you will be logged in.

Second: If all else fails:

• Login as the Administrator by pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL twice. An old login style will appear:

User: Administrator

Password: (leave it blank)

• Once logged in, click on MY COMPUTER then selects MANAGE.
• On the left hand side: select LOCAL USERS AND GROUPS then USERS.
• On the right hand side: Login Name will appear, right-click and SET PASSWORD.

Thanks for sharing your problem with us.

Dear it is so easy to remove this password and log in into windows XP.

When you reach to the windows logon screen and it requires your password. Then simply press CTRL+ALT hold these and press DEL twice.

An user login dialog box will open.

Type "Administrator" in user name and press enter.

It will login you to administrator account. Now please go to control panel and then choose user account and remove password of your required user.
