Due to Norton Ghost 15 Error in installing Microsoft Office 2010

Hello! I have recently tried installed Microsoft Office Professional 2010. However, when the installation process reached Microsoft .NET Framework 4, it was not recognized by Norton Ghost 15 (V 15.1.0.36526). The following error message popped up during the install process:

Norton Ghost Installer Information

ERROR:Failed to have success running

InstallVSSProvider function in MSIInstallVSSProvider Function.

Any suggestions to fix this problem would be appreciated.

According to the error message you got, you need to perform multiple steps on your PC depending on the version of your Windows whether it is XP, Vista or 7. You need to check the status of the Norton Ghost services, check the status of the VSS providers and writers, re-register the SymSnap VSS Provider files, restart the VSS service and lastly check the COM+ applications for catalog corruption. Hi Tibor,

I have checked the status of the Norton Ghost,VSS and writers. Did also re-register the SYMMsnap f VSS, Restarted The VSS. It did helped me solve my problem. thank you.
