FL Studio 8 installation fails with error message

Hi,

I am trying to download the FL Studio 8 version I bought, and I keep getting this error when I press “install” about 2 seconds into the install. I tried installing several times, but every time I get this ‘Error opening file for writing’ message. I tried installing after temporarily disabling my antivirus but this step too proved to be futile. I am running the installation with administrator privileges and I’m using windows 7 OS. I have attached a screen capture of the error received below. Can somebody help me to spot the trouble with this installation? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

FL Studio 8 installation fails with error message

Now, that’s the reason why your application doesn’t work. That’s the problem when a user doesn’t bother checking the program’s systems specifications before downloading the package. If you are interested on using FL Studio 8, Microsoft Windows 7 is not the right operating system for it and it will never run on that platform.

You need a much higher version of FL Studio for Microsoft Windows 7. For users with FL Studio 8, your computer should be running with Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows XP, or Windows Vista all x86 or x64. So in your case, there is no way you can run FL Studio 8 on that operating system unless you downgrade your platform.

Since downgrading your operating system to Windows Vista from Windows 7 is not a good idea, you should upgrade to FL Studio 11 which is the ideal version for you. FL Studio 11 supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 all x86 or x64. For Mac users, it supports Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion for the FL Studio Mac OS X Beta.
