This error occurs if a registry contains incorrect value in a data field. Click (START) and then click(RUN). In the open box type(REGEDIT) and then click ok. Now in the registry editor locate the following key .

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerShell Folders.

Now in the right pane note the values in the data fields. If any value contains a value that is not correct for your computer then right click the entry type C:MY DOCUMENTS in the value data box. after this click ok Repeat this step for each incorrect entry.

Repeat the registry key step for the following keys:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerUser Shell Folders
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersion
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerShell Folders
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerUser Shell Folders.

The problem might have been that the drive you wanted to install the Windows is either corrupted or does not have enough memory for the system files. The best thing you should do is ensure that the drive is not full for all the system files to fit and also that the drive is fully scanned for any viruses or malware.

Another solution is that you need to launch the command prompt. By this you go to the 'Start' button-> All Programs->Accessories->Command (Right click) Choose 'Run as administrator'.

In the command window, type subst Z "C:Windows"

Try running the installation of setup again.

You may also need to remove the damaged registry keys;

1. Go to start button-> 'Run'
2. Type in 'Regedit' and hit 'Ok'

When the registry appears, go to the following:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER SoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerShell Folders
HKEY_CURRENT_USER SoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerUser Shell Folders

Run the installation again. It should work.

As you are unable to uninstall it then the exact reason is that the set up files have got corrupted. so it is suggestible if you remove the entire Microsoft  version and install a new one. if u fail to un-install then you need to format the drive and install it again so that you will not be face this concern again. if you do this way you can happily use the word document without any concern in future.
