Hi there, an error message will pop up when I used Internet Explorer for browsing website.

That error message refers to Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! The screen shot of message is pasted below for your reference.

I am unfamiliar with this never-ending error which I think it is a technical term.

 

Please help to solve this. Thanks a lot.

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an

unusual way.

Hi.

 

This error could be fixed by resetting IE settings. Follow these steps.

 

1. Exit all programs including IE.

2. If you use Windows XP choose Start and then Run. Type in the command ‘inetcpl.cpl’ and then press ENTER.

 

Or if you use Windows Vista, choose Start. Type in the command ‘inetcpl.cpl’ in box of Start Search and then press ENTER. 

 

3. Choose Advanced tab in the Internet Options dialog box

4. Choose Reset under Reset Internet Explorer settings. Choose Reset again and close the dialog box.

5. Start Internet Explorer again.

HI,

I think I can help you. First of all press the (ctrl+alt+del) buttons together to open the windows task manager. There you will see which programs are running at that moment. End all the tasks. Now come back to your desktop closing all the windows.
 

• Then go Start bar &
• Click on 'Run'.
• Write 'inetcpl.cpl' & press Enter.

Then do the followings-

Internet Options > Advanced > Reset Internet explorer settings > Reset > Reset.

After you finish resetting, your problems are over.

Hi,

 

I find a hotfix available on Microsoft website. However, it is only to correct the problem that is specifically described here and apply to those systems that are experiencing this specific issue.  Please note that this hotfix may need additional testing therefore we recommend that please wait for the next update if this problem does not severely affect you.

 

There will be a section of ""Hotfix download available"" at the top of this Knowledge Base article if that hotfix is available for download.  If the section could not be found, please contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support.  Visit the website of Microsoft (https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?ws=support) for a complete telephone number list of Microsoft Customer Service and Support or a request for separate service.

 

Please take notice that if you require troubleshooting or additional issue occurs, a separate service request with usual support costs is needed.  Also please note that ""Hotfix download available"" form is available for different language.  If your language does not display, then the hotfix for that language is not available.

Remarks :

 

1. No prerequisites to install this hotfix package

2. Restart your computer after the hotfix apply

3. Any earlier hotfix will not be replaced

 

The file attributes of the English version are listed below. The dates and times are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and converted to local time when you view the file information. Go to Control Panel> Date and Time >Time Zone to find the difference between two times.
