Best Sound Card for my Laptop

Hi friends

I have a HP Pavilion dv5200tx laptop. I'm getting a pair of M-Audio AV40 speakers, and I am told that good speakers are limited by weak onboard sound card. I see the Echo Indigo Card has been very well-reviewed. Is this sound quality really good than options from Creative like the Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 USB?

The Echo Indigo Card is better with dual jacks for sound output, an analog volume control and what gives it the edge over others is the headphone amplifier. It comes with the WinDVD software.
