I am using  Mac OS X, I need a dedicated software to create icons Mac OS supports. Is there any icon builder software for Macintosh, that can be available for free. If so, Please do let me know, where to download the same.

There are several software to create icons that are supported by Mac OS.
A) Axialis Software
1) With the Axialis software you can create your own icons up to 1024 x 1024 size
2) It creates PNG images with alpha channel within limited time
3) It has editors for creating images of various formats of an icon
4) It creates and edits image strips for toolbars
5) Download the software from Axialis official website

B) Icon Library Maker
1) It is an icon maker and icon converter software
2) It converts icons between Mac OS and converts them into Windows
3) The image files supports by it are BMP, PNG, GIF, PCT
4) It makes the background of the icon transparent
