Based on the error that have shown, there could be an error on the system registry for your Microsoft word. There are software that can fix those errors for you without reinstalling. In fact, reinstalling Microsoft word wont help if you are dealing with registry errors just like you did. These software are available on the internet like Registry Cleaner, CCleaner, Registry Booster, Tuneup Utilities, Uniblue and Avast BART (Bootable Antivirus and Recovery Tool).

All of these software are specialized to optimize your registry and also fix some errors. You can run any of these programs to repair damaged or corrupt portion of your registry. If the error still persist, You can uninstall Microsoft word and run first any of the above software before reinstalling back Microsoft word.

These type of error frequently occurs when the computer is not properly shut down or due to power failure. If you are not experiencing those two then it could be a bad sector of your hard drive where the components of your Microsoft Word is in placed to the bad sector or unreadable portions of your hard drive. Try having a check disk to have a short maintenance of your drive. Check disk allow you to scan and repair and even recover lost files due to the unreadable portions or bad sectors of your hard drive.

To do the check disk open My Computer and right click your C: drive then go to properties and select the tools tab and press check now. You are given 2 check boxes; and just select the first option and click start then a message appears to restart your computer to start the disk check.

Since this is a problem with system resources, try restarting your computer and try again. Don’t run other applications after booting to make sure Microsoft Office Word is the only application running. See if this works. If this doesn’t work and Microsoft Office Word is part of Microsoft Office suite, try to uninstall and reinstall the program in the Microsoft Office package.

Click “Start”, “Control Panel” then “Add or Remove Programs”. Scroll down and select Microsoft Office then click “Change”. On the next screen, make sure “Add or Remove Features” is selected then click “Continue”. In the Installation Options screen, set the option for Microsoft Office Word to “Not Available” then click “Continue”. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart the machine.

After booting, repeat the same steps then in the Installation Options screen, set Microsoft Office Word to “Run from My Computer” then click “Continue”. See if this works.
