If you are installing the 64-bit version of Wireshark 1.10.0, make sure your operating system is also running on 64-bit. Because Wireshark is being provided in two different versions, 32-bit and 64-bit, make sure you install the correct version on your computer. If you have a 64-bit Windows 7, normally, you can install a 32-bit application because the operating system runs it in 32-bit compatibility mode.

But because Wireshark has a 64-bit version, I’m not sure if the 32-bit version will work on x64 Windows 7. So, if you’ll be installing x64 Wireshark 1.10.0, make sure you are also running x64 Windows 7. And if you have x64 Windows 7, don’t install the 32-bit version of Wireshark to make sure it’ll work properly.

Since Wireshark 1.10.0 is very old released on June 2013, it is already outdated thinking that there are already different updates that came after it. To make sure you are using the latest version, download Wireshark 1.10.7 x86. For the 64-bit version, download Wireshark 1.10.7 x64. It supports Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.
