Hey,

I have a Dell Laptop (Inspiron).

Recently I have installed Fedora 15 on it. Everything is working fine on it. But my WiFi is not working. It shows Firmware missing!!!

How can I solve this issue??

Hi Lupin,

—Base on my research and study about your issue this is what I found out. You'll charge the firmware for your card. It's usually automatically installed back you accredit the proprietary driver, application a active connection. This should account a few dozen .fw files…—-

((Code: ls /lib/firmware/b43))

—What files did you use back you extracted the firmware? Make abiding you installed adaptation 4 firmware. I'm still extracting the firmware from wl_apsta_mimo.o that I get from broadcom-wl-4.150.10.5.tar.bz2 at OpenWrt. It's not the most recent tarball, but I intend to accumulate application it until it stops working.—

—Next, attending at the loaded atom modules to affirm b43 and ssb are there and there are no adverse modules (unlikely, but attending anyway)…–

((Code: lsmod | sort))

–Then restart NetworkManager and attending in the console applet for accessible networks…–

((Code: su

service NetworkManager restart))

this would help. Thanks,
