Hi to all. I am using the Ubuntu Operating system and everything is going to be working well. But recently I have purchased new web cam and its plug in is not supported by Firefox. Whenever I open Firefox and install webcam plugin, web browser hangs. Why webcam plugin Firefox Ubuntu hangs browser as I have also installed webcam driver carefully. Please help how to deal with this situation.

You have to perform some actions to resolve this issue.
1. Â Install the webcam driver again, If you still have this problem then you have to download this driver with plugins from the internet.
2. Â You can also solve this problem but you have to uninstall the Firefox and then install it properly.
3. Â After the installation you have to connect the webcam to your system
4. Â Restart your system takes the best effect.

If that camera is newly bought, obviously your web browser won’t be able to detect and use it until the driver is installed. You have to install the driver first before any program on your computer can use the device. Since you are using Linux Ubuntu, check the manufacturer’s website of your webcam and see if there is a driver for Ubuntu.
Just download the driver and install it. Once installed, any browser and application on your computer can now use it. Simply installing the plug-in for your browser will not make the camera work because there is no driver operating and running the camera. If you want to use your camera with Firefox, make sure you have the latest. Download the latest Mozilla Firefox and install it.
