Do I need a system restore before installing an encore adsl modem driver? I was using a different modem and router and have lately uninstalled all their drivers. A friend told me I need to do a system restore before I install the driver. Is this necessary? The last time I did a system restore I wasn’t able to do it quite right it messed up some programs instead

Try to uninstall the software, and then use a different browser and download it again

What to do before installing an encore adsl modem driver

You don’t need to have your computer a system restore just to use a different encore adsl modem. All you need to do if you are having a conflict with the old one. Is to uninstall the software of the old one. Then reboot your computer to refresh your system unit. After that you can now use the new one. Just make sure that everything is prepared, software and hardware devices that you need.
