I’m creating a blog site and I’m looking for best link building techniques for my page to have a high ranking. Would simply leaving backlinks suffice? Also planning to create good content about my site on wiki sites. Any other suggestions?

Backlinking is a good strategy to optimize the page rank of your website. I guess you are blogger right? If you know the rules in DoFollow blogs, positive chances for high ranking page is there. Commenting to a high ranking website or blog content then link to your website, give your visitors a link to that website is an important way geared to many contents, keywords that produces SEO in other words if high ranking websites link back to you then expect to gain high ranking so to speak. Well, submitting good content in wiki sites would be helpful but then again Google is commonly known for counting "click here", Google is expert in determining how many visitors who visited the ad "click here" or for better understanding, you have read the content in the high ranking website then you created another subtopic or simply commented to your website then you enticed your potential visitor to read this from the original source and so on and so forth.
