Hi expert friends,

I love this software; I use this to edit my videos. I am not a technical person I do not work in detail just do some editing. Earlier it used to crash rarely but recently it is happening often. This is very irritating to me, how I can solve this error. Please support me to find a solution. Thanks a lot.

If you are using Microsoft Windows 7 you shouldn’t get any problem unless the application is already faulty or you installed an update on Windows 7 using Windows Update. Try restarting Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 and see if you can reproduce the error. If the same error appeared, restart your computer and run the program again.

If the error keeps on appearing, reinstall it. Uninstall Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 then click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and select Disk Cleanup. Select drive C and click OK. Check “Temporary files” and click OK. When Disk Cleanup is finished restart your computer. Install Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 and see if it works.

It should work now because there is no compatibility issue. Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 should support Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 both x86 and x64 versions. If the problem continues, try running it as administrator. Right-click on Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 icon on your desktop and select Properties.

Go to Compatibility tab and check “Run as an Administrator”. Click OK and run it again. See if it works.
