Using chromecast with Nexus 7

I am using Google Nexus 7 tablet and would like to ask if chromecast works just like a cable connected to the tablet and the TV? Will it be able to play any videos from you tube through it? And will it continue to cast on TV even while the tablet is off? Please let me know these details. Thanks

Using chromecast with Nexus 7

Hi Alex,
The details of the chromecast device with Nexus 7 are as follows:
1) It is used with any mobile device to stream the content to the TV
2) It is a cross platform and works on any device
3) The device is a dongle plugged in the TV back through USB port
4) YouTube and Netflix have this integrated with them
5) It suspends the running video according to the convenience of the viewer
6) It is easy to install and can be handled effectively for longer period of time
