URGENT:Exchange 2007 (SBS 2008) Server does not support secure connections

Hello,

I get the following error message in mail troubleshooter.

"Mail submission failed: Error message: Server does not support secure connections"

I am without emails from around over a week.

I have a current certificate that is the standard response for this error.

I was able to run SBS 2008 box more than a year with self-issued certificate. But after I purchase a certificate, I get this error as I try to troubleshoot.

After a change in the SharePoint which caused website to be down, this error started to occur. I am unable to trace the change that my web developer made during the repairing process.

I took a decision to purchase a certificate from Cert4Less over the weekend. After the troubleshooting I got to the point where the certificate is installed. It does not give any certificate errors as I try to access the remote web workplace.

Still I am not receiving any emails.

I am unable to continue my business and losing clients as emails are not working.

Please help me to solve this.

Thanks.

The error type clearly indicates that the server requires an authenticate SSL connection so that you can perform any type of action.

  1. First make sure that the device that you are using is using the standard security protocols.
  2. Use a certificate to ensure the SSL is verified and that the server can connect to it without any problem.
  3. Also make sure that the server is not using any ambiguous certificates that are no longer valid or are not being used.
  4. Update both the server and the device using the latest security certificates so that anyone can connect it without any problem. Just make sure that you use the right protocols on right connections.
