Hi,

After installing a network adapter, I tried booting the system by installing some drivers. I also clicked on my network places on a remote computer. However, I cannot see the computer that I have set up the NIC. Who can help me out here?

Thanks a lot.

Which operating system you are talking about XP or windows 7 for network place? However here is a solution may help you:
For a domain type network make sure your DNS setup is performed correctly.
Turn on “Files and printer sharing”.
Install internet protocol.
Make sure all computers are on same workgroup or domain.

Hi Gerardo,

After installing a network adapter, you reboot the system after installing some drivers. And then you couldn’t get your NIC .In that case reinstall Nic driver. If it this computer in the domain or work group you should follow the TCP/IP setup with a default gateway, think it will work. This problem may arise for Virus attack also. So better you tried scan after installing an Antivirus.

Thanks
