Hi. I am using my LG Nexus 5 for few months now. It runs with Android 4.4 Kitkat and a great camera feature. Considering the fact that this is one of the latest phone from LG, I am quite disappointed since I am having issues on establishing my Wi-Fi connection. The connection will usually drops even if I am away for short distance from the router. How can I be able to resolve this? Regards.

Below are different options that you can explore to resolve your problem on Wi-Fi connection:
 
Option 1:  Press Airplane Mode then switch it off. Toggle the Wi-Fi. Check of WI-Fi is connected. 
 
Option 2: Check if Wifi router is secure; Read an updated guide on WiFi router’s firmware. A web site can provide with manual.
 
Option 3: Unplug the router of WI-Fi within 15 seconds, then plug again to refresh the connection.
 
Option 4: Invoke Forget in the Settings. This can be accessed thru Wireless and Networks, then Wi-Fi then Select Your Network Name. Wait for 15 seconds and connect the network again. Know your password if needed.  
 
Option 5: Choose 2,4 GHz or 5 GHz under the settings, which you can access via Wireless and networks menu, then Wi-Fi, then Menu key, then Advanced, then we-Fi frequency band. Uncheck the Avoid poor connections to prevent disconnection of the wireless radio when we-Fi has low signal.
 
Option 6: Install the Wi-Fi Analyser app to check if the crowded channel causes the problem.
 
Option 7: Reboot the Nexus 5 to refresh the entire system.
 
 
If all these did not work, coordinate with the service center.

It runs on non-removable Li-Po 2300 mAh battery with standby time up to 300 hours on 3G and talk time up to 17 hours on 3G. It is available in black, white, and red colors. Now, for the Wi-Fi, you cannot go beyond the range of the Wi-Fi router because the Wi-Fi signal gets weaker and weaker.

Expect a very unstable connection if you are too far from the router. One workaround is to change the width of your channel. Depending on the router you are using, you can change the width of your Wi-Fi channel between 20 MHz and 40 MHz. 40 MHz width is like 50 feet away from the router more or less.

Just log in to your Wi-Fi router and change this setting. This should extend the area of coverage of your Wi-Fi signal.
