Hello experts,

Recently I installed the latest Ubuntu and now I am in trouble with the frequent Apport pop up with the message “Sorry, Ubuntu 12.04 has experienced an internal error”. You can see the full error message below attached image. I need your assistance to fix this issue ASAP. Any idea would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ubuntu internal error with unkown cause

The reason for this internal error is that Apport is a debugging tool that generates crash reports. In the previous versions it was not set by default but in Ubuntu 12.04 and 13.04 it is. Apport can be disabled to avoid this pop-up.

To disable the Apport,

Modify “/etc/default/apprt” file.

Open the file in GEdit text editor using the command:

 Gksu  gedit  /etc /default /apport

Change the value below highlighted from 1 to 0 to disable and then save the file.
