Hi guys. I think someone is messing around with my MacBook in the office. Is there a hidden webcam software for Mac where it silently records via webcam when they open my MacBook? I have the MacBook Pro that has the 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7, 1 GB Nvidia GeForce GT 650M Graphics Processor and OSx Mountain Lion.

Since there is many apps that easy can be installed on any personal computer ( MacOS or any other OS ) all you need to discover is the list of apps installed on your MAC device for which you can figure it when you see the list by looking at the apps names if its related to the webcam or by knowing yourself if you installed the app simply you can use the following code in your command terminal to know the apps names : “find / -name "*.app" | sed -e "s/(.*)/([^/]*).app/2/g” or to figure their location with the name “find / -name "*.app" afterwards you can simply remove the app if exists or to assure that your computer is clear.

Most laptop camera would have a blue light on it when it is running so it would be hard to run the video recorder silently. However, you can try to use iSight camera, well except for Mac mini and Mac Pro) you can make your Mac a spy camera and it is an open source software. Another option is ImageCaster you can set it up and select the source, image size and even the schedule where you want it on and would even stay on at night.
