Hi guys,

The problem is with my Outlook application. I have been using Outlook to store data in PST file. However, recently I received an error message while store the same. It says, “Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server – Receiving' reported error (0x8004060C): ‘Unknown Error 0x8004060C'”. It has been running slowly and showing some other error messages. Have you any idea?

Please help me to solve the problem.

Hi John,

It is because the prior versions and Outlook 2002 limit to 2 GB the PST file size. The file goes beyond its limit in which it gains a chance of being corrupted. To solve your problem, you need to compact, archive or split PST file.

To do this, you should delete unwanted email and other items from .pst file ( Deleted item folder must be empty). If the issue persists, compact the file that help to reduce its size. On the other hand, you can create a new .pst file and archive the email items to it. You can also use software that split PST operation using advanced and safe techniques.
