Hi. To improve the real-time network monitoring process, first map out the architecture at present and make sure that it is accurate. Next, find out what is the critical information to be monitored and collected. After this, configure the notifications based on exceptions with an escalation plan, identify the baselines of network performance and monitor it. Then, on the network devices, SNMP which is an internet protocol needs to be configured. After you are done with this, upgrade your core network so that performance monitoring protocols are supported.
The utilization of bandwidth can be monitored and captured by using Netflow on the switches and routers. To provide support to the servers of Windows and Linux, protocols can be used. Make sure that a continuous monitoring is enabled 24×7.
