I have used Sony Vegas and I think it is a very powerful application. For your problem, I cannot directly conclude for the cause because you have given such limited information of the your problem. However, I noticed that the type of file that you are going to create is an m2v(.m2v) file. This type of file is a video only file and does not include audio on the output. If you are including audio on your project, kindly try to not include it and then try to create or make the output file. Trial-and-error solution is best for this type of problem.

Solution for that kind of problem is pretty easy. I understand that you are trying to save data as .m2v but I think that this have nothing to do with error.

Sony Vegas Encode mode CPU only

This type of error occurred when you have Encode mode: Automatic.

Guide:

File-> Render As-> Customize template and at the bottom of that page you will see Encode mode. By default it will be Automatic and you need to put it as Render Using CPU only.

Enjoy your work.

I'm sorry to hear your problem. You should try to lessen the usage of your system memory. Try to close other applications. It might help to solve your issue.

Another is that you should try to see if  the Sony Vegas Pro is still running in your task manager. Because in some instances even if you have already closed or exit application, it is still running. You also need to reboot your computer because you mentioned that you just started using Sony Vegas Pro.

Please let me know if this works for you.

It's my pleasure helping you with this issue.
