I am been using Shareaza to download my favorite MP3 music files and sharing then with friends. First I had it on Windows XP working fine, now when I moved to Windows 7 I installed it again and it works okay except when I click on an ED2K link. There is an error popping up as shown below.
There was a problem sending the command to the program.

The issue could be on two things:
1. Inbound ports could be blocked by either ISP or network admin. If you are using your personal computer, check if the firewall is not blocking any ports. You can check this online by clicking here. The port number is 65535.
2. If the issue is not resolved, follows the steps given below, in Shareaza:
First of all, disconnect from eD2k, press F9, this will open “Discovery Services”. Right click and unselect all except “Show Server Met’s”.
Press F8 and open Host Cache, go to eDonkey Cache and delete all.
Exit from Shareaza, restart the computer.
Open Shareaza and connect to eD2k. The settings will be updated.
