Hi

When I want to fix the remote PC from the major wired network for working I receive the following error message

Need a solution. Please help. Thanks in advance

Error:

Remote Desktop Disconnected

The client could not establish a connection to the remote computer.

The most likely causes for this error are:
1) Remote connections might not be enabled at the remote computer.
2) The maximum number of connections was exceeded at the remote computer.
3)  A network error occurred while establishing the connection.
4) The remote computer might not support the required FIPS security level. Please lower the client side required security level Policy, or contact your network administrator for assistance

Hello Ronald.

I think the error message you posted pretty much tells you how to fix the problem.  I'll guide you nonetheless.

1.  Verify the IP address of the machine that you want to connect to.  do the following on the remote machine:

  • Press Windows logo + R to bring up the Run window.
  • Type in "cmd" to launch a Command Prompt Window
  • At the command prompt, type in "ipconfig /all"
  • Look for "IP address" and the string of numbers to the right.
  • Make sure you use that IP address when connecting.

2.  If you have the right IP address but you still cannot connect, then check that Remote Desktop is enabled on the remote machine.

How?
