Hello guys,

I have just installed the program Format Factory to convert AVI to 3GP format, and it was installed successfully. When I started the conversion, it started smoothly but Unfortunately at the end of the conversion I received an error message. The screenshot of the error message is as follows:

Program Error

The program FormatFactory.exe has encountered a serious problems and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This can be caused by a problem in the program or a deficiency in WINE. You may want to check http://appdb.winehq.org for tips about running this application. If this problem is not present under Windows and has not been reported yet, you can
report it at http://bugs.winehq.org.

Can anyone please tell me why did this error might have appeared on my screen.

Waiting to hear from you all

Thanks in advance

Jacob

Hello,

You need to keep your system up to in order to run formatfactory successfully on your system.

More over formatfactory runs well on windows operating system and it is not compatible with any other operating system.

You need to go for alternate software.

Click on the below link to download the converter software.

Hello Jacob Nelson,

You may have to use Windows OS because Format Factory runs only in Windows. One way to do it is to dual boot your computer to be able to run Windows.

Another way is to use VMware or any Virtual Machine software and install a Windows OS inside. It might cause problems if your computer's hardware is not up-to-date. To get an idea on how Virtual Machine is this is the best I can give.

Hope this helps.
