Hi,

There are several things to consider when installing Adobe CS5. First of all, it requires Intel Processor. You need to check the specification of the Computer before buying CS5. If you are using a Macintosh computer, it will not run if the system has an Operating System of lower than 10.5.8.  You also need to make sure to download every possible updates available like QuickTime, Adobe Flash Player and Java Runtime Environment. If all requirements are met, and the program still doesn't work properly, you can try to do a simple reset called zapping PRAM.

Here's how to do it:

Completely Shutdown the computer

After you press the powerbutton to turn it back on, press and hold the following keys at the same time

COMMAND – OPTION – P – R

Wait for the third Chime before you let go of the keys.

Wait for the computer to boot-up normally and try to run the program.

Hope this helps.

If you say Adobe Photoshop CS5 is not working properly after installing it on your computer though the application did install successfully, that’s probably because you are using Windows XP Service Pack 2 or you don’t have a Service Pack installed if you’re on Windows Vista.

Though Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS4, and Adobe Photoshop CS5 support Windows XP and Windows Vista, they have specific requirement for the Service Pack of the operating system. If you will be using Adobe Photoshop CS5, make sure your computer meets the requirements. Adobe Photoshop CS5 supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista (Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise edition) Service Pack 1, and Windows 7.

It requires Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent AMD Athlon 64 or faster processor, 1 GB RAM, 1 GB free space, 1024 x 768 minimum screen resolution, 16-bit video card with 256 MB video RAM and supports Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 2.0, and QuickTime 7.6.2. For Windows XP, download Windows XP Service Pack 3. This is the latest and last Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows XP.

For Windows Vista, download Windows Vista Service Pack 2. This is the latest and last Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows Vista.
