Hello,

I was reading some read me files, while I was in the middle of understanding the instructions of the read me file, notepad suddenly stopped and generated an error message, the message is "error creating process", posted below is screen shot for better analysis of the problem.

Notepad ++ Extension

Error creating process; nppcm.dll needs to be in the same directory than

notepad++.exe

Ever since I am using notepad, this is the first time I encountered such error, I even manage to get through my text files an hour ago, I was wondering why the computer meet an error about creating process, since I am only reading a text file,

I scanned my computer for some virus, no virus was found, I also restated my computer after the virus scan, when I tried again to open the file, same error message appeared,

Please help me solve my issue,

Thank you.

Hi Friend,

Your Problem is "Error creating process: nppcm.dll needs to be in the same directory than notepad++.exe" all you have to do my friend just download and install this Anti spyware software. I preferred to use this until now, what i am talking about is the iOBiT360 it is free but the work is impressive. And with a combination of Antivirus or Avira an Antivirus it is also free.

Then you are protected and error free.

When installing it just follow the wizard question and option choose rightfully. When you're done.

Don't forget to tell if i am right. And one thing for sure use iobit360 and apply Scan then there you go have it, your and error free.

Your problem was due to setting the prompt automatically for the administrative privileges via User account control.

By fixing this error, from the Notepad++ shortcut/executable remove the automatic UAC.

This is ok if you have at your desktop or menu the Notepad++.

This action restores the context menu option for work. Upon setting the above action you will do it manually every time you will check for the updates.
