Problem with USB printer software.

I am using a printer of HP Laser Jet 1020. Before couple days when I connect my printer to my computer, the following message shows me "Connect to Printer, Windows cannot connect to the printer". No printer were found! How can I solve the problem?

Problem with USB printer software.

There is surely some error with the driver you have installed for this printer. May be some files are corrupt or misconfigured. Try to completely uninstall the installed driver and then restart your computer. After restarting install the driver again and make sure no error occurs during the installation of the driver. Once installed correctly, I am sure the error will be gone.

This error can also be caused by an out dated driver. Try to install the latest driver for this printer. You can easily download the latest driver from the web site of HP.

Problem with USB printer software.

dear friend
its a restriction from your computer
in windows 7 you can find UAC ( User Account Controller ) and it will control the behavior of the user. to overcome this error just right click on the zip file that you want to extract then select Run as Administrator then you will able to unzip it

or
go to control panel, then select user account click on it and select "change user account control setting" from it
then drag down the slide bar to never notify.

no worries

ps – if you are using a limited user account you may not able to change the setting in the control panel and if you are using a administrator account its just a simple task

Problem with USB printer software.

If this is a brand new printer, make sure the driver software is installed. Simply connecting the printer to the computer using the USB cable will not work because there is no way for the system to identify and access the device without the driver. The correct driver has to be installed so that applications can use the printer.

To get the latest driver software for your printer, go to Software and drivers for HP LaserJet 1020 Printer. The page should detect your operating system automatically. If the page shows a different operating system, click the “Choose a different OS” link then select your correct operating system. After this, download and install all available drivers and software for your printer.

Make sure your printer is connected to your computer using the USB cable when installing the driver.
