Problem with iTunes error 1905 dll failed to unregister

Hi Pro,

I have been a regular user for iTunes for quiet long time. However, when I try to open it after a long vacation for about 6 months; I am not able to open it. When I try to open iTunes, it throws me an error message. The error 1905 says some dll failed to unregister. How do I fix this error? Do I need to uninstall and reinstall it again? Please help. Thanks.

Problem with iTunes error 1905 dll failed to unregister

The "iTunesMinPlayer.dll failed to unregister" error you are experiencing is due to corrupted installation of iTunes on your computer. There can be numerous causes for this error. The solution is to completely uninstall iTunes with the use of special tools and then clean all traces left behind. Then, you can reinstall iTunes anew.

To remove iTunes from your computer, follow these steps:

1. Open "Control Panel" on your computer, click "Add and remove programs", find iTunes in the list and uninstall it.

2. Navigate to the following folders, delete them and their contents:

C:Program FilesBonjour

C:Program FilesCommon FilesApple

C:Program FilesiTunes

C:Program FilesiPod

3. Download "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" by clicking here.

4. Install and run it.

Now reinstall iTunes and it will no longer give the above error.
