Asked By 0 points N/A Posted on -

I need urgent help. I am importing the MS Excel file to MS Access to create a data base.

All steps are cleared but in the last the Access gives the following error:

Type conversion failure.

I don't know why this problem occurred however I have done all steps.

Please tell me if someone experience this kind of error.

Problem to import data from Excel to Access

I don’t know what is you mean with your question but this is the proper way to import data from Excel to Access.

  • Make sure the Microsoft Excel data is in list format: each column has a label in the first row and contains similar facts, and there are no blank rows or columns within the list.
  • Close the Excel workbook that contains the data you want to use in Microsoft Access.
  • Open MS Access and open the database where you want to copy the Excel data.
  • On your Menu Bar, click File, select Get External Data, and then click Import.
  • In the Import dialog box, choose Microsoft Excel in the Files of type box.-
  • In the Look in list, locate the file you want to import, and then double-click the file.
  • Follow the directions in the Import Spreadsheet Wizard.
