Problem with Bitdefender Total Security 2015 full scan

I have just bought the newest version of Bitdefender Total Security. I am very happy with the user interface, and it doesn’t seem difficult to use, but I have not yet been able to complete a full scan. I start the process normally, but then the program stops responding. There is nothing I can do, but reset my computer. I don’t even know if there are any viruses, because I never see the end of the process.

Am I doing something wrong? Should I be doing things differently than in previous versions?

Causes:

  • when an update is being installed
  • communication errors among Bitdefender services
  • Bitdefender service (at least one or more) is stopped
  • if any other security solutions running

 

Way to fix the error:

  • Be patient a few moments. See the changes (if the error is temporary)
  • Restart the computer and do not operate until the Bitdefender is fully loaded
  • Remove all of the security solutions (if any)

 

Suggestion:

Ø      Still, if you found the problem, then generate a support tool log of Bitdefender and send to their support department through internet.

If this is a fresh installation of Bitdefender Total Security, check if your computer meets the requirements. If you are using the latest version, Bitdefender Total Security 2015, it supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista Service Pack 2, Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1.

It requires a minimum of 1 GB RAM. If you have a much lesser amount then it is probably the reason why it keeps on not responding after opening it. You need to add more RAM to make it work or use other antivirus. It also requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 but you don’t need to install it manually because Bitdefender will automatically install it for you if it is not found on your computer.

If you suspect that your computer is infected by a virus, visit Issue Installing 360 Internet Security 2013 and then download Sophos Virus Removal Tool. It will help you clean your computer.
