I am using my friend’s PC but the only problem I am facing is that whenever I try to run any video on any webpage it says to install or upgrade Flash Player first. I have already installed Activex controls many times but still facing the same problem 🙁

Hi there,

You have to install an adobe flash player to be able to view videos, games or animation.

Or upgrade it if you already have the flash player or flash plug-in.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox Browser, you can try downloading it here, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-flash-plugin-view-videos-animations-games

In Google Chrome Browser, it is already built-in and it updates automatically when there is a new available version of flash player.

Once you have installed the flash player try restarting the web browser otherwise sometimes it’ll keep telling you to install flash player. Restarting the browser should solve the issue. If not try a different browser like Google chrome which is the most popular web browser these days.

Also try restarting the computer but still restarting the browser should work for you.

If still the automatic installation is not working install the latest version of flash player manually by downloading from below link.

It might be helpful to understand the exact difference between Activex and Flash.

·         Activex allows remote scripts to be executed on the computer.

·         Flash provides the ability to run animation and video on web pages.

As long as quick answer, ActiveX is not Flash. Try downloading Flash directly from Adobe website.

Hopefully, your issue will be resolved.

Active X is for Microsoft Internet Explorer. It is not for other browsers. You are trying to use Active X instead of flash player. But always remember, it is not for other browsers. Go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads.html and download directly the flash player. Then you will be able to enjoy videos on your browser.
