My Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 detected an error “No Computer Detected” when trying to scan a HP product control panel. I cannot even scan. Help needed.

Make sure that the HP product that you are scanning is turned ON while you are doing the scan. Maybe that is the reason why nothing can be detected.

If the HP product is already connected to the AC outlet and also turned ON and still can not be detected, check its cable connecting to the computer if it is properly connected.

Make sure the plug is secure. If the HP product is using a USB cable to connect to the computer, make sure the cable is not damaged and is properly attached to the USB port. If the product can not be detected using the current port, transfer it to the other ports and then scan it again.

If you have already used all the available USB ports and the product is still not detected, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the product’s application. It is possible that its drivers got corrupted. You may also want to check your computer for any possible errors.
