Hello Techyv.com!

I have here an old PC, and I noticed that it is running slowly for the past few days. Now my friend told me to use memtest for my laptop to test if the RAM were still working well. Now I've downloaded its version 4, it says it could support both 32-bit and 64-bit CPU. But why it won't work for me? Please help me. Thanks..

Hello,

If you want to make your pc quick then you have to try the following small steps so that you can increase the speed of your Pc.All you need is to get to the start menu after that you have to start the RUN application.

Here you have to write the following commands and delete the data present there.

1. Temp

2. Cookies

3. Msconfig (Close those services which you are not using at that time )

Also use Ccleaner software in order to remove the unused data from your PC.

Here is the link to download.

Hi,

Undoubtedly, memtest is by far the best product available for RAM testing in windows. I guess you need to download memtest86 rather than just memtest. As memtest86 alone supports 32 bit and 64 bit. Generally your BIOS will do a short memory test when you power on the computer. But a complete memory test is highly recommended to check if RAM is working. One more thing which you need to check is the RAM capacity. Memtest supports only up to 64GB RAM. Download the ISO and burn it to a CD. Restart the computer with the CD and it will automatically start testing your RAM.

Hope this helps.
