Hi experts,

I downloaded McAfee Internet Security as a trial and it is working fine but when I try to activate to get automatic updates the following error message displays.

How can I remove this error without having any trouble?

Can I get full instructions to activate this software? I really need your assistance.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Alison

This error that you are receiving can be caused by several factors.

First of all, please right click on My Computer > Properties.

Go to Advanced System settings and under the Advance tab click Performance Settings.

Again go to Advanced and change the virtual memory by increasing it.

Another thing would be to update your drivers. Sometimes outdated drivers may cause such issues and not allow memory to be "read".

You could also go to Start and in the search box type cmd. Press enter and in the command prompt type in sfc /scannow. This will scan the system files and replace the damaged ones.

If this does not solve your problem, please uninstall your McAfee Internet Security and re-install it.

I hope you will find this information useful.
