Good day Jeremiah!

If you want to make another layers with your Photoshop, all you have to do is to:

1. Open Photoshop (whatever version you have).

2. Choose an image that you would like to edit.

3. You will see "Layers, Channels, Paths", they are usually be seen on the upper right of the screen.

Note: Inside the box, you will see "Background" with a locked on it. It means that the picture is set as a background.

4. Click "Layers" tab and click "New". You can choose a name for your layers. This is helpful when you do vector art or making your picture a cartoon one.

5. Put a check "Use Previous Layer to Create Clipping Mask" so that you will have a clipping mask. You can use this over your background layer with locked in it.

6. After that, you do whatever you want with the mode, opacity of the layer and the colors.

7. Finally, click "OK"

If you are encountering problems, don't hesitate to give me a beep.
God bless.

Regards,

Angeles A.
