Hi Experts,

In a Lync conference while sharing a Power Point presentation I received the error message. It is to be mentioned here that the Office Web application server is not available on my machine. Please suggest me to fix the problem.

Hi,

To upload office files on Lync, you need to have the office web application server installed on your system. Without this you cannot upload data to the Lync server. As you said you do not have the office web application server, I would suggest you to install it on your computer and then try to upload on Lync. To install the office web application server follow the steps below:

1. Go to and click on the download button.

2. Run the setup file and follow the instructions on the installer. Install it on the C: drive. The installation should look like the picture below:

3. After you install the office web application server you will be able to upload data on Lync.
